Innovation, Access & Empowered Wellness

A Conversation with Christle Chaunsumlit, Founder and CEO of SOSO THIN

Wellness is evolving, and the way we access it is changing just as quickly.

Not long ago, treatments supporting weight management, longevity, and overall wellness often required multiple doctor visits, long waiting periods, and a complicated healthcare process. Today, telehealth and digital platforms are beginning to reshape that experience—making it easier for people to explore modern wellness solutions safely and efficiently.

On this episode of The Balance with Andreana Jackson, I sat down with Christle Chaunsumlit, founder and CEO of SOSO THIN, to discuss how innovation and technology are transforming access to wellness treatments and helping people navigate their health journeys with greater confidence.

Christle’s background is an interesting one. Before launching SOSO THIN, she spent years working in training and development within the luxury goods industry, traveling internationally as a spokesperson and gaining a deep understanding of brand experience and consumer trust. Eventually, she identified a growing gap in the wellness market—particularly when it came to access to GLP-1 medications and other treatments that many people were curious about but often unsure how to obtain safely.

That insight ultimately led her to create SOSO THIN, a telehealth platform designed to connect patients, physicians, and pharmacies through a streamlined digital process.

“Access is the real innovation. The medications have existed for years—the breakthrough is making them safe, legitimate, and available to the people who need them.”

— Christle Chaunsumlit
Founder & CEO, SOSO THIN

Today, the conversation around GLP-1 medications is everywhere. Originally developed for diabetes and metabolic health, these treatments have become widely recognized for their ability to help regulate appetite and support weight management.

But despite the attention they receive, many people still face confusion about where to begin.

Christle explained that one of the biggest challenges for consumers is navigating the traditional healthcare process. Appointments can take weeks to schedule, prescriptions require additional steps, and pharmacies can involve long waits. SOSO THIN was designed to simplify that journey by allowing qualified individuals to complete consultations online with licensed physicians and receive prescriptions delivered directly to their homes.

For busy professionals, parents, and individuals managing demanding schedules, this kind of accessibility makes a meaningful difference.

What stood out to me most during our conversation was Christle’s emphasis on legitimacy and safety. In a wellness landscape that is rapidly expanding, consumers are often confronted with a wide range of offers, advertisements, and services—many of which can be difficult to verify.

Living in Miami, we see this firsthand. Our city has a vibrant wellness culture, but it also comes with an abundance of options that can leave people unsure about what is reputable.

Christle spoke openly about the importance of working with licensed physicians and legitimate pharmacies, ensuring that patients receive real medications rather than questionable alternatives. When it comes to health, cutting corners simply isn’t worth the risk.

Another important takeaway from our conversation is that the typical SOSO THIN client may not be who many people expect.

While media coverage often focuses on celebrities using GLP-1 medications, Christle shared that many of their clients are professionals, parents, and individuals simply looking for tools that help them feel more energized and confident in their daily lives.

For many of them, the goal isn’t perfection—it’s simply feeling better.

Beyond weight management, SOSO THIN also offers treatments focused on hair care, anti-aging, and overall wellness, including therapies designed to support energy and vitality. Christle shared that the company plans to expand into additional wellness categories in the near future, positioning SOSO THIN as a broader destination for modern health and longevity.

But perhaps the most meaningful part of our conversation centered on confidence.

Christle spoke about clients who were able to keep up with their children again, attend events with renewed confidence, or simply feel more comfortable in their own bodies. These transformations, she explained, are often the most rewarding part of her work.

And I completely understand that perspective.

Wellness isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about feeling aligned—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and having the energy to show up fully in your life.

Toward the end of the conversation, I asked Christle how she personally defines balance, something we explore often on The Balance.

Her answer was thoughtful: accountability and connection.

Despite building a company rooted in telehealth and digital wellness, she believes the time saved through technology should ultimately be reinvested into human relationships—conversations, friendships, and community.

That perspective resonated deeply with me.

Technology may make wellness more accessible, but true balance still comes from how we show up for ourselves and the people around us.

My conversation with Christle Chaunsumlit was a reminder that innovation in wellness is not simply about new treatments or trending technologies. It’s about solving real problems and giving people access to tools that help them live healthier, more confident lives.

And that is exactly the type of conversation we love bringing to The Balance.
